A Love Letter To Marist
By Milena Lyons
Dear Marist,
This is a love letter to the haven along the Hudson River, a place where countless students are fortunate to build a foundation that shapes who they will become. Many take their first steps on the Green with little sense of who they are or what they want to do, but four years later they walk across that same lawn at graduation knowing the answers to those very questions. Marist is more than a campus; it is the physical embodiment of its students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the values that unite them. Beyond academics, Marist is defined by moments: the laughter echoing across residence halls, the late-night study sessions, the comfort of watching the infamous Hudson River sunset after failing an exam. Each corner of campus holds a memory, a lesson, and a story written by those who have been lucky enough to call it home. Although the campus itself often gets recognition, Marist’s real beauty lies in its continued potential. With every new student who arrives and every graduate who carries their lessons into the world, the university continues to evolve and inspire. Years spent at Marist are forever cherished by those who have walked its grounds.
